Graphic Designer — Web & Print

We are inviting applications from individuals with training and a strong portfolio in graphic design for the web and print. This position is based in our Invermere, BC office.
We are a small, full-service marketing firm and design agency, producing websites, print materials and advertising for a wide variety of clients in the Kootenay/Rockies Region (ranging from Panorama Mountain Village to local small businesses). Our workload varies at times from being web-intensive to print-intensive, so your role will change accordingly. We anticipate a mix of approximately 75% web and 25% print.
This position reports directly to the agency's Owner/Creative Director.
Main responsibilities:
Provide creative input and design websites based on site plans and business purpose/branding notes provided by the Creative Director.
Work closely with our Web Applications Developer to integrate dynamic content, and to provide graphic elements for dynamic sites.
Render standards-compliant websites in HTML and/or Flash, and create cascading style sheets and all required graphic elements. Integrate supplied images and copy.
Prepare print collateral, advertising, signage, interior communications and other print/web materials, and integrate branding across all media.
Work with our senior graphic designer and creative coordinator to allocate print design workload (by task-specific docket or by client, as appropriate to the situation), and to prepare a workflow plan.
Carry out pre-launch web testing in various operating systems and browsers.
Act as Webmaster for harrisonmckay.com and our client's HTML/Flash sites. Redesign and maintain the Portfolio section of harrisonmckay.com.

Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), Dreamweaver, Flash.
HTML and CSS.
